Anne Hampson
Anne Hampson was a much-loved and internationally bestselling romance writer. From 1969 to 1998 she wrote over 125 titles for Mills & Boon, Silhouette and Harlequin, including the Harlequin Presents line of titles. She was one of their most successful authors.
Born in England, Anne always dreamed of teaching and writing; however, poverty forced her to leave school at age 14 to sew blouses for Marks & Spencer’s. Many years later, she attended and graduated from Manchester University.
Her first novel, Eternal Summer, was published in 1969, changing her life forever. Anne went from living in a caravan to owning a small stately home and driving a Mercedes.
